It’s all about trust and love: Aawaz Di Hai Aashiq Nazar Ne

Aitbaar is belief, trust. There could be no title more apt for this film as it is about the role that trust plays in the lives of people like you and me. This single word signifies something that is missing in today’s world. There is no trust, only treachery. It’s really not about just loving your parents or spouse; with love there has to be trust.

Aitbaar is a film which shows the deep twists and turns which mark an innocent girl’s life. She is in love with a man who can’t marry her; she is married to a man she does not love. She finds solace in the arms of her lover, but slowly she starts understanding her husband and she decides to give her marriage a second chance. The only problem is that she is now being blackmailed with a love letter from her former beau. Whom does she suspect? Whom does she trust? Well, the name explains it all.

There is one particular track in the movie titled Awaaz di hai aashiq nazar ne…which is so beautiful that it takes the listener to another place altogether- one which is akin to paradise, a time long lost. The song is picturized on Neha (Dimple Kapadia) and Sagar (Suresh Oberoi) who are the original lovers in the movie. This song is set in the second half of the movie where they are rediscovering their love for each other. It is wonderfully done.

The playback singers are totally exemplary in this song. The start itself is so scintillating – Bhupendra has given a fine example of his talent. It is very well fitting because Sagar is supposed to be a singer in the film. He is accompanied by Asha Bhonsle who is a very complimenting companion and her voice brings along with it the drama needed for the sequence.

The music given by Bappi Lahiri is also very different- it starts off with the piano and the other instruments just flow in. It is very emotional and makes one think of their love in its nascent form.

The lyrics are the best part of the song because it talks of a paradise which was lost and now by some magic the two lovers find themselves a part of that paradise again. It is idyllic and is woven out of a million fantasies. The couple is in their own private heaven and they don’t ever want to come back to reality- their heaven is so perfect.

Though all these ingredients are more than enough to cook up the perfect song, there is one thing left to make it superlative by all standards-the lead pair. It must be said that Suresh Oberoi and Dimple Kapadia have fit the part really well. They have gotten under the skin of the characters and they do full justice to the situation, the song and everything else which is pertinent.

A beautiful song which will calm you and make you sigh with longing. Totally recommended for those stressed out with today’s hectic life.
